How soon can we start working with a hire?

It takes us between 10-14 business days to source and vet candidates before we send them to you for a final interview. We don’t send candidates over from a general pool, and instead run a curated sourcing process based on the needs you mention on our initial call. This allows us to poach the best candidates based on your industry and needs.

How should I think about hiring part-time vs full time?

Hire full time to increase your long term retention. We’ve found that the best operators are more willing to work full time for your company. They still need to pay their bills and support their families back home, and when hired part time will often need to have one or two additional jobs to do so.

At Catena, we only work with candidates that truly see themselves growing within our client’s businesses, and weed out candidates that we notice treat their roles like gig jobs. Do your hires work in US or EU timezones?

Yes. All of our candidates work whichever hours your local team does (e.g. EST, PST, CET). Although they’re distributed across the world, they find the opportunity to work and grow in a scaling company exciting and are willing to make that trade off for the higher growth and compensation that a US or EU based company provides. 

We’ve generally seen teams be most successful when working at the same timezone as their US and EU counterparts and recommend having your hires work in the same timezone. It makes it easier for you to communicate and manage projects, and also helps your hires feel like a part of your team instead of in some back office.
